Grand Opening - Southern Recreation Center
Palm Coast is set to unveil two significant additions to its community wellness and recreational offerings. Mark your calendars for the grand opening of the Southern Recreation Center and the new Lehigh Trailhead, happening on February 23rd from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm at 1290 Belle Terre Parkway. What's New?
Southern Recreation Center: A testament to community investment, featuring amenities like twelve pickleball courts, a community building with multi-purpose rooms, and eco-friendly design aiming for LEED certification. This project, partially funded by the Flagler County Government Tourist Development Council (TDC), showcases Palm Coast's commitment to sustainable and health-oriented community spaces.
Lehigh Trailhead: Transformed into a vibrant park, this area now offers community gardens, dog parks, an ADA-compliant parking lot, and more, thanks to support from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and a $1,240,000.00 grant.
